Two zones in Palomar Health District that include Poway, Rancho Bernardo and 4S Ranch have candidates in the Nov. 8 election.Palomar Health is the region's public health district. It covers 800 square miles in North San Diego County and is served by two hospitals, Palomar Medical Center Poway and Palomar Medical Center Escondido. It also has a skilled nursing facility, The Villas at Poway.The district is represented by seven elected officials who serve four-year terms on its board of directors, based on their residences in geographic zones.
