Escondido Union School District Superintendent Luis Rankins-Ibarra has been named as the 2023 Superintendent of the Year by the Association of California School Administrators Region 18, which recently released a list of 23 other winners of its 'Honoring Our Own' awards. The San Diego County School Boards Association Region 17 also released its list of award winners. Both groups will honor their recipients at their 21st annual celebration, 'Evening of the Stars,' on May 27 at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina on Harbor Island.
