VISTA — For Poway High School's Tessa Buswell, the Southern California Invitational was important. Sort of. For Westview's Adrian Welton, the 41 st annual meet run at Guajome Park Saturday was very important. Period. Saturday marked a chance for both to make a statement over the challenging 3.1-mile course. Buswell pulled away over the final quarter-mile to win the girls' race in 18 minutes, 12.22 seconds. Welton won the boys' race featuring each school's top three runners, clocking a time of 15:31.
